It deserves theatrical release. The main plot of the movie is the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Yes, the massacre that shook our country.
We have grown up reading history books and it is not hidden that the massacre has a bloodbath associated with it. The gathering that was meant to be peaceful turned into a havoc. After watching Shershaah, we felt a sense of patriotism rising in us. On the other hand, this movie is going to show how freedom fighters gave their all to save us. Yes, the people of our country have been through a lot of ups and downs. It is because of these freedom fighters that we are relishing this independent life.

Vicky Kaushal is phenomenal as Sardar Udham. This movie proves why people are in awe of his acting talent. He showcases a range of emotions with true patriotism. You feel a connect with the character that keeps you connected to the entire film. He performs well and we are sure this will raise his career graph to new heights.
The characters of the British rulers is portrayed by white actors who are just perfect. They don’t try to overact their part and justify their character. In fact, Amol as Bhagat Singh seems to grab the eyeballs with his portrayal of the same. All in all the casting is perfect. The actors and directors have together made the film an apt choice this weekend.

Shoojit Sircar has portrayed his finest direction through this film. With each scene you will feel that a lot of effort has gone in making this film. The sets take you back to the 30’s era and convince you to believe that you are watching it live. This movie creates an impact that is long lasting. You develop more respect for the fighters after watching this movie. At times, you feel that the movie is a bit slow, but you can adjust with that.
